Tough, isn't it? Their software manuals leave out SO much useful nuance and detail -- and the "online " stuff isn't always a great deal of help, either. I can't tell you how much trial and error crap I've been through due to the lame documentation. On the other hand, you'll find that the hardware manuals that accompany their boards are decent enough insofar as they'll give you the right information about specs, connections, jumpers, etc. If you understand basic electronics, they should be enough. Back to the software --- There are some online sources iit.edu/ ~labview/ Dummies.html cnx.org/ content/ col10241/ latest/ As books go, this one covers the theory pretty well: LabVIEW for Everyone: Graphical Programming Made Easy and Fun (3rd Edition) There are a bunch of others out there, but I've not had a chance to review them, much less take them for a test drive. |
